100 Days of Thanksgiving — Day 6

Today, I am thinking about my house. It is unfinished, which can be challenging at times. However, when I think about how we lived in a tiny RV for 5 1/2 years…wow! For an idea of what that was like, go to Little RV on the Hillside. Believe me, although an adventure, it was no picnic.

I am very thankful for this house, which we call Beit-Shalom (House of Peace). I am amazed at how Abba put it on the hearts of people (some of whom we have never even met or communicated with) to come together to try to get us out of that RV. It started out as a way to try to get a used trailer, but when that door did not open, it became the building of a house.

People got together and donated time, efforts, money and lots of prayer to help get this house up. We are thankful for all of that and also for the encouraging words spoken to us.

We went from this:

This is not the most recent photo of Beit-Shalom, but we have not been able to make much progress since this was taken, so it is pretty accurate.
