Shabbat Prayer — The One Who Comforts Us

Abba…You are the G-d of all comfort.
You reach out to the grieving,
to the wounded,
to the lost.

You heal broken hearts
and help us
to keep on walking.

You are with us day and night
and You never leave us or forsake us.

Thank You, Abba, for loving us SO much.

Thank You for being an Abba/Father to us.

Thank You for being a husband to the widow.

Thank You for being an Abba to the fatherless.

Thank You for being an advocate for those who are abandoned
even when it is because of their own deeds.

Help us, Abba,
to give that cup of water
and those clothes.
Help us to give food
and to give shelter.
Help us to visit the sick
and those in prison.
Help us to remember that
when we do it to the least
we are doing it to Yeshua.

Abba, there are things in life that are difficult to forgive.
Help us to forgive as You forgive us.

Give us Your heart.
Fill us so full of Your love
that it overflows to others
and even to the seemingly unlovable.

Help us to be in the business
of restoration.
