Shabbat Prayer – Faithfulness

Abba…may we be faithful to You…
even when it
makes us unpopular,
costs us a job,
or a friendship,
or even a spouse.

May we be faithful to You,
even when it
makes people angry at us,
triggering attacks against our character
and even our welfare.

May we have a passion for Truth
no matter how painful.

May we have a passion for Love
no matter how challenging.

May we have a passion for Your call upon our lives
no matter how humbling.

May we love You passionately.
May we obey You wholeheartedly.
May we serve You completely.
May we follow You always.

Teach us, Abba.
Help us to love You with
all of our strengths,
all of our hearts,
all of our souls
and all of our minds.

Help us to understand what love really is.

Help us to love our neighbors as our ourselves.

Help us to love one another.

Help us serve You through serving others.

May our hearts break over the things that break Your heart.

May our hearts rejoice over the things You rejoice over.

Change us and shape us into the image of Yeshua
who is the image of You.

May we be Your children
and may we bear a familial resemblance
both to You and to one another.

May we live well in community
as family should.

B’shem Yeshua
