Wiring and Taping and Mudding…Oh My!

While we are waiting for the energy audit program to come finish insulating Beit-Shalom, Dave is getting lots of wiring done. He is putting in spotlights on the four corners of the house and a motion detector. He is also trying to get the porch lights on, even though we don’t have any porches, yet.

He is also getting a lot of the inside lights finished. Here is the dining area light.

This is in the living room area. I could not get a good picture with the lights on, so I had to take it with the lights off.

Dave’s brother told us about some newer kind of mudding tape. It is self-adhesive. You stick it on and then mud. Because it is woven, the mud goes through it. It does seem to help things go faster. Here are a couple of photos. It was hard to get it focused up close. I hope you can see it well enough.

  1. Abi, the kitchen light is beautiful, so is the ceiling fan. That webbed dry wall tape will stay up/on better I think than the older stuff. We’ve had the other stuff fall off our garage ceiling 2 or 3 times. Looking good!!

  2. Theresa says:

I have used that tape with spackling…worked very well! So glad you are getting help with insulation…God is faithful! Love the lights and praying for God’s timing for Dave to get a job..been there a few times ourselves, Dan and I, and He never let us down! Blessing always take my breathe away…..He is amazing! hugs!

We would love to hear your thoughts...
