One day, a while back, I looked out my window. This is what I saw! It wasn’t exactly your typical view!
Here is another angle.
So, what are they doing? I am so glad you asked! Below you can see the roof beneath the eaves on the side of the house. The pink is what you call a “baffle”. It helps to direct warm air to the ends of the overhang to help prevent ice dams. No need to ask me just how that works because I can’t really explain it very well.
The mesh you see is a kind of screen material. It goes in between and over the baffles to help keep the insulation in when it gets blown into the attic. It also keeps bugs and rodents out. It isn’t really very nice having wasp nests in your attic. At one point, we even had to chase a squirrel out!
The dirty white tracks are for our sliding door. It was stored either outside or in a barn. Can you tell?
We still have quite a bit of work to do to get ready for winter. It will be here before we know it! So, the guys just keep on plugging along.
