Putting in the Whatchamacallit!

Our vanities for the bathroom came with the sinks, but not with any hardware. We bought the faucets and then later realized that there was nothing in the hole in the sink. The thing that fits inside the hole — the whatchamacallit — was simply not there. (I think it is actually called a “drain” and, for at least the sake of easier typing, I will call it a “drain”.

This series of photos shows Dave putting the drain in on my vanity sink.

See that sweat? Yep…my honey was working hard outside in the heat. When he came in to cool off, he started on this for me. He knew it would really be a blessing to finally have running water in the bathroom…besides the toilet!

Along with the drain comes the plug. It is attached to that thing in his hand which raises the plug up and down. He got it all installed before it dawned on us that it would not work because we bought bar style faucets…not bathroom sink faucets. We like high faucets with plenty of room to get under them. They do not come with the plugs for the drain.

Finally, the sink has its faucet and is sitting on the vanity!

We did not have water, yet, in this photo, but we were close!

I wrote in the previous post asking if your water was running. Here is my bathroom sink. It is on the vanity. The faucet is installed…all nice and shiny. It’s ready to go…right? Wrong! It looks good, but it gives no water. It still has to be hooked up to the source.

I pray that I will never just be a person who “looks good” spiritually speaking, but who is not connected to the Source of spiritual water…living water…Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah. I don’t want to merely look ready to give water…I want to actually GIVE it…to all those around me.

How about you? Are you connected to the Source? Do you give living water to those around you? I hope so! True spiritual life begins and ends with our Creator. He holds the key to all understanding, life and the inner springs of living water!
