A Brown Bathroom Floor?

To protect the floors, we are painting some of them with porch and deck paint. There isn’t much color selection. We chose brown. It was better than “Battleship Gray” or “Brick Red” (which actually looked almost brown anyway). I do believe they had a tintable white, but we didn’t hassle having to figure out what color we would use. Brown off the shelf was so much faster and easier. At some point, I just might go back and add some sponge accents.

We have matching vanities, with mine being a little bit wider. This is under my vanity.

You can see where Dave had already done around the toilet before installing it. The white on the older section is sheet rock dust.

This is our kitten corral. We round them up each night and, now that they are big enough to climb right back out, we cover the opening and put heavy things on the covers.

sis, putting paint down is a great idea, it will help water proof. I like the brown, it looks nice…but there is nothing better than gray! Unless it’s black and white and gray together. 8)
Are you going to go with brown towels in there?

No brown towels. I like brown on the floor…not on my towels. Plus, I actually hope to go back at some point and do a contrasting color with sponge…that is if we don’t still have “real” floors! Ha ha!

I like different shades of dark blues for towels. They don’t stain as easily when someone happens to not get all the dirt off. 😉 I have a set of towels given to us at a wonderful suprise housewarming that are kind of a sea green…very pretty. I think I will keep those for me and gals that come to visit. We also inherited some really pretty dark green towels and some light pink ones and one that is in between olive and the dark green. I am pretty well set for towels. 🙂

We would love to hear your thoughts...
