Plans Change…or How to Be Flexible!

We realized today that the most important thing we needed to do was to plug the holes in the ceiling sheet rock…especially since the guys were going to be gone in the evening. So, Dave went into the attic to put tape over any open cracks. With another night in the 40’s, we needed to stop the flow of warm air through those openings. This one is in the bathroom.

Here it is again…without the flash. You are seeing the underside of the roof through the crack.

The reason for the gaps is because it is difficult to work with a house that is not square. From the flooring to the walls to the ceiling…everything had to be cut differently. It has added a lot of time and work to the house. Yet, we are still VERY grateful to have this imperfect house.

Perhaps, its imperfections are meant to be a reminder to us of our own imperfections. Just as we love it anyway, our L-rd loves us in spite of our imperfections. Just as we will make our home within these walls, our L-rd Yeshua will make His home within our imperfect hearts…if we will just ask Him.

This is another example of a hole:

Once the lights are installed, holes like this one will be covered. For now, the cracks and holes are taped…until we can install the lights and finish mudding and taping the cracks properly. Hopefully, this will help us stay warmer tonight.
